Trail Blazer Strike

The Strike patch is the second generation of our Trail Blazer design, this time appearing in flag form.

The winged boot was awarded to aircrew who had been shot down over enemy lines and had "walked home" to safety. This particular winged graphic was inspired by the tail art of the Hawker Hunter that one of our family members worked on while he served in the Royal Navy Air Force.  

When we find ourselves out of our depth, this patch marks our ability to blaze a new trail where there isn't one, and make it home. The code detail represents the need for an adaptable communication method in these situations.

I have a fairly rigorous quality filter for patches, which resulted in a box of past designs with minor issues (loose threads, slightly odd shapes or stitching errors) which are now being offered as seconds.
